Due to poverty and lack of access to basic quality education, many children in slums drop out from the schools and get engaged in income generating activities. But since they are unskilled, they end up being petty labourers, vendors or collect garbage on and off streets.
T.W.S aims at ending this vicious cycle of poverty and providing vocational skills to adolescents and youth especially girls to increase their chances of finding a respectable profession and becoming a contributing member of the society. There are more than 500 Universities, 20,000 colleges, Hundreds of institutes of higher learning and research bodies. Several lakhs of students awarded with degrees are coming out from the colleges with a lot of hope and faith to achieve successful career in their life.
T.W.S by virtue of its expertise in this field has been providing answers to this issue in various forms for we have to recognize the basic Indian truth, that strong youth are necessary foundation for the strength and the stability of the country.
Youth skill development
One unforgettable lesson has been learnt - that youth are the strength of the country so if things go well with youth, the nation prospers, when youth falter, the nation fails. As a nation, we can make no more important investment. Today young men and women will have to carry a staggering burden. One of the most important contribution of our organization is to build capability towards acquiring employability skills and Entrepreneurship skills. Our target beneficiaries are:

Soft Skill Development
15 million youth need initial vocational training every year in India and the existing private & public institutional capacity is only 3 million Under this initiative, the Foundation has set up rural entrepreneurship development institutes. The institutes focus on identifying, orienting, motivating, training and assisting the youth to take up self employment ventures while also promoting rural entrepreneurship. As part of its Livelihoods and Empowerment thrust, the Foundation has set up and is running several institutes of Entrepreneurship Development. These Entrepreneurship Development institutes focus on imparting skill training to the youth and helping them evolve as successful entrepreneurs. The group has over 25 years of experience in the education sector and has a vast network.
