Women Empowerment & Equality

India with its vision of a new economic regime has an urgency to guarantee the spirit of equality and social justice envisioned in the Constitution. The greater awareness of human rights and the need to realize such rights without any barriers has also been accepted as a goal in all the sectors of development. Female feticide and female infanticide signal the grossest form of discrimination against women in India. We organize workshops, seminars, training programs, self awareness street plays, 15 days vocational training conducted to educate women about their rights and more. We concentrate not only to educate them about their rights but also encourage them to take their lives in their own hands. According to a report by the National Health and Family Survey, one in every three women in India, starting from the age of 15, has faced some form of domestic or sexual violence. This same survey also reported that 54.4% of rural women and 46.8% of urban women believe that domestic abuse is normal.
